Paul Epworth is always thrilled to be nominated for an award, but admits he was shocked to learn 'Skyfall' is up for a Golden Globe.
Paul Epworth is ''very surprised'' 'Skyfall' has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award.
The producer - who co-wrote and worked on the latest James Bond theme song with Adele - is always delighted to be recognised for his work but still can't believe the track is up for Best Original Song at the prestigious ceremony.
He told fastmazaa.blogspot.com : ''Every single nomination in anything is really thrilling, but to have one in the film world as opposed to the music world, it's a really wonderful and very surprising step forward, you know?
''I used to do work on film scores as a tape op, so I've done quite a bit of this, but this was definitely the first time that I've done it in this capacity. And to be doing it in front of ['Skyfall' director] Sam Mendes and ['Bond' producer] Barbara Broccoli, it was definitely one of the most daunting sessions of my life.''
Paul - who won Producer of the Year at the 2012 Grammys - may be delighted by the nomination, but is unsure if he can make the Los Angeles ceremony on January 13 2013 as he has booked a holiday for the same time.
He added: ''I'm thrilled to be nominated, and weirder things have happened. To be honest, I have no idea if I'll even be able to make it. Ironically, I just finally booked a holiday yesterday, and I don't know if I'll be able to change my plans. It might be a difficult conversation to have with the wife.''

She said: ''Less is more when it comes to make-up - I don't why young women wear so much. On my days off my make-up is really minimal - tinted moisturiser, my Stila Covertible cheek colour, lip gloss and a little bit of liner and mascara.''
Nicole also says she likes to do her own make-up but will accept help when it comes to styling her hair.
She told fastmazaa.blogspot.com : ''I know my stuff. I feel that you have to in this business. I can't rely on other people all of the time, so I have to know what works for me. I also don't like to wear heavy make-up - I prefer a softer, prettier look. When it comes to my hair I like to get help, though. I have a lot of it so I need a little help getting around the back.''

'Silver Linings Playbook' star Bradley Cooper has described his Golden Globe for Best Actor in the Musical or Comedy category nomination as ''surreal'', especially because it's a small movie.

The 37-year-old actor is up for Best Actor in the Musical or Comedy category for his role in 'Silver Linings Playbook' and he says he couldn't believe it when his name was read out, especially because it's not a big budget film.
He said: ''It's a small film and it's a word-of-mouth movie. The fact that it's getting this kind of attention [means] hopefully more people will go see it.
''We loved doing it. We care so much about the film and it's amazing to be recognised. And then on a personal level, it's just surreal... I grew up as the nerd who would wake up to watch the [Golden Globe] announcements. To hear [presenter and 'Hangover' co-star] Ed Helms say 'Silver Linings Playbook' was just incredible.''
Bradley is up against 'Bernie' star Jack Black, Hugh Jackman of 'Les Miserables', Ewan McGregor for 'Salmon Fishing in the Yemen' and Bill Murray from 'Hyde Park on Hudson'.
'Silver Linings Playbook' - which also stars Jennifer Lawrence - is also up for 'Best Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy)'.
The 70th annual Golden Globes take place in Los Angeles on January 13 2013.

The X Factor just can’t seem to hold on to judges these days.
After Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger left the American edition to be replaced by Demi Lovato and Britney Spears in the second season, it was announced earlier today that LA Reid will not be returning for season three. The Epic Records boss denied any rumours of a conflict with Simon Cowell leading to the decision, CNN reports.Instead, Reid explained the change with his responsibilities to the Epic Records label and the roster of artists that he has been managing.
“I love Simon. We have a great relationship, we have fun together, we talk, we laugh, we do bad things, we’re friends. I owe so much to Simon,” Reid explained in an interview. Definitely not a repeat of the Cheryl Cole situation then, even though, let’s face it, that would have been more interesting to watch. “It was a nice break, it was a nice departure from what I’ve done for the past 20 years, but now I gotta go back to work,” he commented in the interview with Access Hollywood.
It is as yet unclear who will replace the industry mogul on the show, but Reid himself has some ideas as to who would best fill his shoes. “You know who I would love to see take it, and by the way I have nothing to do with it, but my choice would be like Jon Bon Jovi,” he said. “That’s who I would pick.”

Keith said: ''We've both always felt that if we achieve anything, it's always for us. She's been nominated in the past and won, and I've shared that with her, and I share all my moments with her, too. The difference today is it's an actually literal 'us.'''
Nicole added: ''As an actor you look for roles that are rich, complicated, and that stretch you and this year I was blessed to find two. To have the chance to play them was a gift in itself and to then be acknowledged this way is icing on the cake. Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press!''
Meanwhile, nominee Bradley Cooper can't believe he is up for an award for his leading role in 'The Silver Linings Playbook'.
He said: ''To actually go there, it's still something, for me, that kind of blows me away... I like to go and watch all the movie stars. I get star struck and they're all in the room and I see Clint Eastwood or something and I still get a complete thrill out of it.''
