Disney orders Alice in Wonderland sequel
Disney has ordered a script for a sequel to its 2010 hit 'Alice in Wonderland' which starred Mia Wasikowska and Johnny Depp.
Disney has ordered a script for an 'Alice in Wonderland' sequel.
The studio has hired Linda Woolverton to pen a follow-up to the 2010 film starring Mia Wasikowska as Alice and Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, but details are being kept under wraps.
Linda has been a long-time writer at Disney, previously writing scripts for 'The Lion King', 'The Beauty and the Beast', and the upcoming 'Maleficent' starring Angelina Jolie, as well as contributing to scripts for 'Mulan' and 'Aladdin'.
Not much is known about the plot for the proposed sequel, but the first film combined ideas from Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland' and sequel, 'Alice Through the Looking Glass'.
2010's 'Alice in Wonderland' grossed over $1 billion at the box office worldwide, and is being adapted into a stage musical by Disney's theatrical arm.
The sequel would see Joe Roth, Suzanne Todd and Jennifer Todd return as producers.
The status of the cast - Mia, Johnny, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway - as well as director Tim Burton is unknown.

Martin Sheen returning for Amazing Spider Man 2

Martin Sheen has confirmed he will reprise his role of Uncle Ben in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2', even though his alter-ego was killed off in the first instalment of the motion picture.
Martin Sheen is to star in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'.
The 72-year-old actor confirmed he will reprise his role of Uncle Ben - who was shot dead by a thug in this year's 'The Amazing Spider-Man' - in the superhero sequel, which is set to start filming in February 2013.
Speaking on 'The Late Late Show', he said: ''They've called me back, I don't know what the part is gonna be, but I'm going to be Uncle Ben once again in Spider-Man next year. We shoot in February.''
Martin's reappearance as Ben - the uncle of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) - looks likely to be in a flashback or a dream scene.
Andrew is already confirmed to reprise his role as the titular character alongside his off-screen girlfriend Emma Stone, who will return to portray the superhero's love interest Gwen Stacy in the sequel.
'The Amazing Spider-Man' director Marc Webb will take up the reins for the follow up motion picture, and he recently confirmed Dane DeHaan - who has starred in 'Lawless' and 'Lincoln' - will portray Peter's tormented best friend Harry Osborn, who goes on to become his enemy, in the movie.
The filmmaker said: ''Dane is an exciting and extraordinary young actor and he is a fantastic addition to our cast.''
Jamie Foxx and Shailene Woodley have also been confirmed as Electro and Mary-Jane Watson respectively, and Sally Field is expected to reprise her role of Uncle Ben's wife, Aunt May.
'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' will be released in the UK on 18 April, 2014.

DJ Fresh records with Ellie Goulding

DJ Fresh records with Ellie Goulding
DJ Fresh has revealed he has been working on a secret track with Ellie Goulding, but refused to give any details about the song.
Ellie Goulding has been recording with DJ Fresh.
The 'Hot Right Now' hitmaker - whose real name is Dan Stein - is ''really excited'' about the collaboration but refused to give any further details.
He said: ''I just collaborated with Ellie Goulding on something but I'm not really allowed to say anything. I'm really excited about it.''
The electro star also admitted he is always surprised by the ''friendly mosh pits'' that spring up at his 'Fresh Live' gigs.
He told the fastmazaa.blogspot.com : ''Most pits always seem to kick off at our gigs.
''I'm all for people going nuts and having a great time. It's almost become a feature of a 'Fresh Live' gig and people know it's part of the vibe,
''I often get tweets from girls saying, 'I got heavily bruised up in the most put at 'Fresh Live' last night', sounding really proud of themselves.
''I'm not sure it's really right for girls to be getting bruised up at my gigs. That's not quite what I was hoping to promote. The mosh pits you get at rock shows can be quite aggressive but the ones at ours are a different kind. We're a more friendly mosh pit.''

Radio DJs devastation over nurse's death

The Australian radio DJs at the centre of the royal phone hoax say they are devastated over the death of the nurse who took their phone call and have offered their sympathy to Jacintha Saldanha's family.
The radio DJs at the centre of the royal phone hoax say they are devastated over the death of the nurse who took their call.
Jacintha Saldanha was found dead on Friday (10.12.12), in what was an apparent suicide, 48 hours after the broadcast of an early-morning prank call in which Mel Greig and Michael Christian posed as Britain's Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles, asking about the health of Duchess Catherine.
They had rang the King Edward VII Hospital in London, where Catherine was being treated for acute morning sickness, and were put through to one of the duchess' nurses by Jacintha.
And now the Australian DJs have spoken out over their devastation about the mother-of-two's tragic death.
Mel - who impersonated the queen in the prank call for their 2DayFM radio show - said: ''There is not a minute that goes by where we don't think about her [Jacintha's] family and what they must be going through. The thought that we may have played a part in that is gut wrenching.''
Mel also said she wanted to get in touch with Jacintha's family to let them know she was thinking of them.
She tearfully told Australian TV show 'A Current Affair': ''I have thought about this a million times in my head, that I just wanted to reach out to them and just give them a big hug and say sorry. I hope they are OK, I really do.''
Michael added: ''I just hope that they get the love, the support, the care that they need.''
Jacintha's 49-year-old husband said he was ''devastated'' by her death while her 14-year-daughter Lisha posted on Facebook: ''I miss you. I love you.''
She also had a 16-year-old son, Junal.

Helen Mirren Death of royal hoax nurse is tragic

Helen Mirren Death of royal hoax nurse is tragic

Dame Helen Mirren, who portrayed Queen Elizabeth in 'The Queen, has described the death of royal hoax nurse Jacintha Saldanha as ''tragic'' and terrible.
Dame Helen Mirren thinks the death of the royal hoax nurse is ''incredibly tragic''.
The actress - who played Prince William's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth in the 2006 film 'The Queen' - has spoken of her shock at the apparent suicide of nurse Jacintha Saldanha following a prank call made by Australian radio DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian to the King Edward VII Hospital in London to find out the condition of the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge, who was admitted to the hospital last week for severe morning sickness.
The DJs spoke with Jacintha when they called the hospital impersonating the queen and Prince Charles and obtained sensitive information about Catherine - who was known as Kate Middleton before she married William - and just 48 after the broadcast of the call Jacintha was found dead on Friday (07.12.12).
Speaking to fastmazaa.blogspot.com at the premiere of her new film 'Hitchock' in London on Sunday (09.12.12), Helen said the death of the nurse was a tragedy, but she still feels empathy towards the two DJs.
She said: ''I think that was incredibly tragic, and unfortunate, and silly. People do these silly things for a laugh. We've all done them, incidentally, and I don't think opprobrium should be laid upon the heads of those two very, very silly Australians.
''[It was] just horribly, horribly tragic. You just don't know what to say really. Just awful.''
The 67-year-old actress - who won the Best Actress Oscar for portraying Queen Elizabeth - also expressed her joy for Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge and she believes they will make great parents.
She added: ''The pregnancy of any young couple is a wonderful thing to celebrate.''
Other stars at the premiere at the British Film Institute Cinema included Sir Anthony Hopkins - who portrays the iconic director in the biopic - and the film's director Sacha Gervasi.

Ed Sheeran Wants Collaboration With Reality Show Winner

Sheeran told Arthur, "Well done. Let's get into the studio together as soon as the show's done," while a source tells The fastmazaa.blogspot.com , "Ed sees some of himself in James. He likes his style and is convinced a collaboration would be a big hit."

Late Show From James Arthur Sees Him Seal UK X Factor Crown

Late Show From James Arthur Sees Him Seal UK X Factor Crown

Despite only becoming a prominent front runner in the competition at week eight, James Arthur took the X Factor UK crown last night, beating out Jahmene Douglas and Christopher Maloney in the final held over two nights (December 9 and 10).
The fastmazaa.blogspot.com  published the week-by-week votes from throughout the 10 weeks of live competition, and as recently as week seven Arthur was in the bottom two, having only taken 13.7% that week. What a difference a week makes, though, and sure enough the next weekend he was on top of the polls with 51.7% after two stunning renditions of Abba’s ‘SOS’ and Marvin Gaye’s ‘Let’s Get It On’. He was never bested again, and so although last night’s final was undoubtedly tense, the result was perhaps a lot less in doubt than it might have appeared.
In the final held in Manchester, Arthur was comfortably clear of Maloney on the first night, singing ‘Feeling Good’ by Nina Simone and ‘Make You Feel My Love’ by Bob Dylan with mentor Nicole Scherzinger. Indeed, it was a busy night for Scherzinger given that Douglas was also her protégé, and so she teamed up with him for ‘The Greatest Love Of All’, made famous by Whitney Houston. With Thomas putting in a strong performance on the first night, it was no surprise that Liverpudlian Maloney was the first of the three to go, bowing out on the Saturday night. Last night, though, Arthur was victorious, 53.7% to 38.9%; he returned to ‘Let’s Get It On’ and ‘Impossible’ by Shontelle to step it up a notch and take the win.
The bad news for Arthur may be that this isn’t quite the springboard to success he was hoping for; many have criticized this year’s competition for being the worst in its history, and with recent reports that judge Tulisa’s new album The Female Boss has barely scraped the UK Top 40 albums chart this weekend, it’s clear that sustained exposure on the show isn’t necessarily the path to success it might once have been.
