Kristin Cavallari wants kids collection

Kristin Cavallari wants kids collection

Kristin Cavallari is hoping her forthcoming shoe line will be a success so she can then work on a range for children.
Kristin Cavallari wants to create a children's shoe line.
The reality TV star - who has four-month-old son Camden Jack with fiance Jay Cutler - recently unveiled her six-style capsule collection in collaboration with Chinese Laundry and is hoping if the range sells well when it launches in spring, she will be able to expand with a junior line.
She said: ''Kids shoes are adorable and would be fun, but I hope my shoe line is successful first and then I can branch out and do other things.''
Kristin enjoyed working on the collection and says she was very hands-on with the design process.
She told fastmazaa.blogspot.com : ''It has been awesome. [The Chinese Laundry team is] really good at listening to what I like -- they really get my style. We decide on colours and everything together.''
Kristin, 25, says the collection is influenced by her own sense of style and she also pays careful attention to fashion trends.
She said: ''I flip through magazines to get an idea of what trends are important. All of the shoes represent my style and what I like to wear. I like the bootie, but I've been wearing flats a lot because of my everyday life [as a new mom].''
And as well as her footwear collection, Kristin is looking forward to launching her jewellery range in the new year.
She said: ''My jewellery line [with Glamboutique.com] will be out in February, just in time for Valentine's Day.''

Peter Jackson's The Hobbit Gets Panned for Fast Frame Rate

Peter Jackson's The Hobbit Gets Panned for Fast Frame Rate
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is in the news again, but maybe not for the right reasons.
Rather than going into the acting, the pace or the film’s faithfulness to Tolkien’s original, critics tend to get hung up on Peter Jackson’s unusual choice to film at 48 frames per second, instead of the industry standard of 24. While the visuals in this first installment of the trilogy are no doubt spectacular, the reviews are split so far. Wired magazine’s Hugh Hart calls Peter Jackson’s vision “insanely gorgeous”, while critics from The Independent and The Telegraph, among others, have panned the film, calling it “kitsch and alienating”.
The main criticism here is that the high frame rate exposes the production techniques, making the film look cheap and garish. Jackson himself defends the film, by saying that there are always those, who resist changes, but that the audience will be the ultimate decider for The Hobbit. The director goes on to say that he isn’t expecting the Tolkien adaptation to take any of the big awards this season, except maybe for the visuals and production quality.
This seems like quite limited praise for a film as highly anticipated as The Hobbit, but, with fans as devoted as the faithful “ringers”, “Tolkienists” and other such ridiculous designations, the film is set for a healthy amount of sales and probably a good run in the box office charts – 48 frames or not.

Makeup Tips For Girls Beauty

You heard it here first. Makeup is experiencing a new shift. A change in textures, new colors and a whole different look is coming your way. And it’s all starting with the Fall Trends for 2012. Are you ready for a change?

What’s New for Fall 2012:

1. Matte Skin

For fall skin has taken a more matte finish but is still natural in look. Dewy, shiny, glowy skin is fading out, and to achieve the new matte look, just apply your liquid foundation as usual, with a soft dusting of powder on top. Loose Powder is perfect for this and gives just the right look of touchable matte skin. Or touch on a shine mattifier on the t-zone on top of foundation or on bare skin. The look is matter skin that’s natural looking, but not packed on with
foundation or caked with powder.

2. Softer Blush

Blush is slowly fading out…you’ll see less bright shades, with more of a realism in color than ever before. Strong flushed cheeks are becoming softer, with tones in soft rose and beiges being the perfect cheek tones for fall. There’s also a new placement, with blush being applied as a very natural flush on the tops of the cheeks as opposed to the apples of the cheeks. Just start application at the tops of the cheekbones and work towards the apple. Another new way of blush is a return to the 70′s “c” look. Take your blush and apply on the tops of cheekbones and then up
towards the temple, doing a half circle around your eye.

3. Dark Dark Eyes

Yes, smoky eyes are still in and it’s all about black. Rim inside and outside the eyelashes with black pencil and you’re set. Try this look for both day and night in different variations. For day, add a light gray eye shadow smudged on the whole eyelid for a softer version. For night, go with a warmer brown or sandstone color. The new eyeshape? Emphasizing the crease has given way to shadowing the entire eyelid with a medium shade. Smudge the shadow into the eyeliner on both top and bottom and bring out to emphasize a rounder shape on the eyes. No winging out and no frosty highlighter on the browbone will keep this look new.

4. Nude Lips

Nude, coffee and sand colored lips. Nude lips are back and more modern with a soft matte finish. And matte doesn’t have to mean dry lips. To keep lipstick on longer, apply a soft touch of lip balm or chap stick first and then your lipstick. Use a cream lipstick and blot down to a matte finish. Also, the lip line is cleaner, but not perfectly drawn on.

5. Lip Gloss is Fading Away

Glossy lips have all but disappeared, making way for the newer matte textures in lipstick. Update your clear gloss by using a touch instead on the brow bone and even on the eyebrows. Pair up with a nude lipstick and soft pinks on the cheeks for a great new natural daytime look.

6. Glitter and Frost

This season, it’s all about matte textures and perfect skin. So unless you’re a rock star, keep the glitter and frosted eyeshadows and lipsticks at home.

Perfect Beauty Cosmetics For Girls

Here are my top wishes when it comes to buying makeup.

Perfect Beauty Cosmetics For Girls

1. Foundation

The right foundation will even out your skin tone and give you the appearance of flawless skin. But you have to do it right, otherwise you risk looking like a … clown. Follow these steps for a flawless complexion.

2. Concealer

It has to cover, otherwise, what’s the point? So I’m a fan of those stick foundations, such as Max Factor’s Pan Stick (it’s been reformulated, so it’s much better than you remember), and Kryolan’s stage foundation (found only in Beauty Supply/Theatrical Supply). Definitely thicker than your normal concealer, but it’s also formulated to ‘stick’, so it lasts forever without disappearing on you. Also ry the new Full Coverage Foundation from Mac. For best results, apply with a damp sponge.

3. Powder

Aveda’s loose powder , and Mac’s Loose Powder is a close second. I want powder that sets quickly, has no feel, no fragrance (nothing like scented powder up your nose! cough cough!), and not be so heavy that you look caky within minutes. Both of these fit the bill nicely.

4. Blush

My biggest pet peeve is blush that looks great on, than disappears 2 hours later (I could have sworn I was glowing a minute ago!) Mac’s blushes have great colors and great staying power, a real reason that they’re #1 in most professional makeup artists kits. Also try Loreal’s Cheek Stick for a great affordable cream blush.

5. Mascara

The winner by a landslide, Lancome’s Aquacils and Intencils. In waterproof and non-waterproof versions, their mascaras do a dramatic job in making your lashes look much darker, longer and thicker. Stays on forever, and washes off easily and painlessly. I hope they never run out! Too pricey for you? (I thought so too, until I used them and believe me, it’s well worth the $!) Try Max Factor’s 2000 Calorie Mascara. Great thick lashes as well and Revlon’s Lashful Mascara.

6. Lipstick

I’m a huge fan of “Jane’s” lipsticks and Wet & Wild. Great natural color selections and long lasting wear without the drying out effects. (#23-Jane is a staple, I think I bought about 10 of them so I’ll never run out.) The hardest part is finding them! Try your luck at Target.

7. Pencils

Okay, are we asking too much here? Pencils that go on, don’t run and smear and draw on easily without killing your eyelids. Is that too much to ask? I think by far the hardest makeup item to find, but I think I found it. “Makeup Forever” in #25 is a bit pricey (around $18 I think, for a pencil??), but it’s super long and lasts forever. And it’s a warm brown that I use for everything, brows, eyelids, lip liner. Aveda’s Sepia Eye Pencil is a close second.

8. Eye Shadow

I love Origins and Revlon Pro. Both stay on super long, easy to glide on and in great colors. If you’re trying to find your great basic colors, start here. Looking for the crazy, artistic colors?  Trucco, by Sebastian is known for their wide array of colors, you’ll go crazy at “Makeup Forever’s” counter, and Stilla has the most beautiful, wearable shimmers around.

9. Lipgloss

Okay, we want lip gloss that looks great, stays on, isn’t gloppy, and doesn’t smear all over your mouth like a 2 year old. Aveda’s “Ice Glace” is a staple of mine, on all counts for a soft shimmer that feels and tastes good. Also, I’m jumping up and down over Wet & Wild’s Crystal Clear Gloss. Super super super super shiny, without the stickiness. Heaven! It’s a great cheapie version of Mac’s LipGlass, without the tackiness.

10. Other

Shimmering looks are hot, and my two favorites are Toni & Guy’s Shimmering Loose Powder, and Mac’s Shimmering Loose Powder. Just touch on the high points of the face, and you’ll swear you look 10 years younger. A little hesitant? Try it out only at nighttime on that hot candlelight dinner date you have coming up. You’ll swear he’s falling in love with you.

Playing for Keeps Movie review

Playing for Keeps Movie review
Playing For Keeps does what every failed romantic comedy has done in the past five years ” put Gerard Butler in the lead role as a charming and funny Ladies Man.
Sadly director Gabriele Mucchino learned nothing from the critical and box office drubbing of Butler’s previous rom-com efforts like Bounty Hunter, PS I Love You and The Ugly Truth. The result is a painfully unexceptional and hackneyed effort that fizzles the moment it begins.

Apart from the lack of a decent and likable lead, the film makes the mistake of wasting the potential of genuinely likable women like Uma Thurman, Judy Greer and Catherine Zeta Jones, and expects the audience to believe that a shallow sexual predator like Butler’s character would be happier in bed with all of those ladies than with Jessica Biel. It is hard enough to get past the supremely silly premise and it doesn’t help that the majority of the movie is a poorly acted, forced and cliched hot mess that fails to even be unintentionally funny to offer any kind of entertainment value.

Butler plays George, a bankrupt, divorced former soccer champion who moves into his ex-wife Stacie’s (Biel) town to be closer to her and their nine-year-old son. George aspires to get his life back on track by becoming the coach of his son’s soccer team — and he does it by hitting on and sleeping with the mothers of the kids in his soccer team. As screenwriting and logic go for a toss, George slowly gets closer to Stacy, leading up to an all too familiar and saccharine finale that expects you to believe in the power of love.

Director Mucchino, who displayed a sharp knack of drawing emotions from the audience in The Pursuit of Happyness, unfortunately fails to invest any energy into the proceedings. Butler and Biel share no chemistry whatsoever, as the former looks more than happy to collect his paycheck while the latter seems like she was hustled into signing the film. The only thing the film going for itself is its pretty cinematography but that is hardly a reason enough to head over to the multiplex for a rom.
