Paulina Rubio Struggling With Rivera's Death

Paulina Rubio Struggling With Rivera's Death
Singer Paulina Rubio is still struggling to come to terms with the death of fellow Latina Jenni Rivera - she was waiting to perform a duet with her when she heard the star had been killed in a plane crash.
Rivera and six other passengers were aboard a private Learjet 25 when it went down in Nuevo Leon, Mexico on Sunday (09Dec12), and all were presumed dead after wreckage of the aircraft was found scattered near the city of Monterrey.
News of the plane's disappearance spread quickly and Rubio was on set preparing for a duet with Rivera on talent show The Voice Mexico when she heard the terrible news.
She tells fastmazaa.blogspot.com , "We started hearing rumours about her plane being missing, and then we heard the tragic news - it was just overwhelmingly devastating... It is still hard for me to comprehend and accept what has happened."
And paying tribute to her friend, Rubio adds, "Jenni was a powerful artist, a wonderful human being, a dedicated mother and grandmother, a symbol of strength, a warrior and a dear friend who truly helped all of us around her."
Remains found at the plane crash site were identified as those of the Latin superstar on Thursday (13Dec12).

Reg Traviss 'relieved' ordeal is over

Reg Traviss 'relieved' ordeal is over
Reg Traviss has hit out at the decision to take the rape accusation against him to court and he is angry that his accuser will face no repercussions.
Reg Traviss is ''relieved'' his rape trial ordeal is over.
The 35-year-old director - who was engaged to Amy Winehouse at the time of her death - was cleared on two counts of rape on Thursday (13.12.12) after a jury at London's South wark Crown Court acquitted him of attacking a 27-year-old friend in the early hours of New Year's Eve 2011 at his apartment in London and admitted he is astonished the case even went to trial.
He said: ''I am relieved it's all over. I never did it. The last nine months has been crazy.
''It feels like anyone can make a complaint and have their day in court.''
Reg feels ''numb and betrayed'' by the actions of his accuser - who cannot be named for legal reasons - and can't understand why she wasn't thoroughly investigated when she made her damaging allegations.
Speaking outside court, he added: ''The person that made that complaint wasn't investigated, she wasn't looked into. I don't think it should have gone past the police investigation.
''I have no idea why she did it but she did. I feel numb and betrayed.''
When giving evidence Reg, 35, insisted he and the woman had consensual sex after a night out drinking together and admitted he was ''completely and utterly flabbergasted'' by her claims of serious sexual assault.
The woman had alleged she did not consent to sex and had woken twice to find Traviss raping her.
She had claimed she had been so drunk after going to three bars with him on December 30 she was unable to walk but jurors were shown CCTV footage during the four-day trial that showed the woman walking unaided to the toilet shortly before she left a West End bar where the pair had been drinking.
Reg also told jurors she had instigated sex and the court heard the day after he walked her to a train station and kissed her goodbye.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are massive fans of 'The Thick of It'.
The Hollywood couple spent a whole weekend watching back-to-back episodes of the comedy series, which is a satire of the workings of British government, and after having both worked with the show's star actor Peter Capaldi they praised him for his performance as spin doctor Malcolm Tucker.
Speaking after receiving his award for Best TV Comedy Actor at the British Comedy Awards in London on Wednesday (12.12.12) Peter, 54, told The fastmazaa.blogspot.com : ''Brad said someone had given them the box set. They'd spend the weekend learning to swear.
''I didn't need to teach them anything new, as they had watched Malcolm Tucker already. But I was happy to give them a few partners.''
Brad, 48, has been shooting upcoming film 'World War Z' with Peter, while 37-year-old Angelina appeared in 'Maleficent' with him.
Angelina recently revealed she plans to give up acting when her children get older.
The 'Salt' actress - who raises kids, Maddox, 11, Pax, nine, Zahara, seven, Shiloh, six, and four-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with fiance Brad - says once all her brood hit their teenage years she is going to stop making movies so she can spend more time with them.
She said: ''I think I'm going to have to give up the acting as the kids hit the teenage years, too much to manage at home ... I will do some films and I am so fortunate to have the job, it's a really lucky profession to be a part of and I enjoy it.
''But if it went away tomorrow I would be very happy to be home with the children. I wake up in the morning as a mum and I turn on the news like everybody else and I see what's happening and I want to be part of the world in a positive way.''

Paul Epworth surprised by Golden Globe nod

Paul Epworth is always thrilled to be nominated for an award, but admits he was shocked to learn 'Skyfall' is up for a Golden Globe.
Paul Epworth is ''very surprised'' 'Skyfall' has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award.
The producer - who co-wrote and worked on the latest James Bond theme song with Adele - is always delighted to be recognised for his work but still can't believe the track is up for Best Original Song at the prestigious ceremony.
He told fastmazaa.blogspot.com : ''Every single nomination in anything is really thrilling, but to have one in the film world as opposed to the music world, it's a really wonderful and very surprising step forward, you know?
''I used to do work on film scores as a tape op, so I've done quite a bit of this, but this was definitely the first time that I've done it in this capacity. And to be doing it in front of ['Skyfall' director] Sam Mendes and ['Bond' producer] Barbara Broccoli, it was definitely one of the most daunting sessions of my life.''
Paul - who won Producer of the Year at the 2012 Grammys - may be delighted by the nomination, but is unsure if he can make the Los Angeles ceremony on January 13 2013 as he has booked a holiday for the same time.
He added: ''I'm thrilled to be nominated, and weirder things have happened. To be honest, I have no idea if I'll even be able to make it. Ironically, I just finally booked a holiday yesterday, and I don't know if I'll be able to change my plans. It might be a difficult conversation to have with the wife.''

The stunning singer - who mentored this year's winning act, James Arthur, on the UK 'X Factor' - says she prefers a natural look and only wears lots of cosmetics when she's working.
She said: ''Less is more when it comes to make-up - I don't why young women wear so much. On my days off my make-up is really minimal - tinted moisturiser, my Stila Covertible cheek colour, lip gloss and a little bit of liner and mascara.''
Nicole also says she likes to do her own make-up but will accept help when it comes to styling her hair.
She told fastmazaa.blogspot.com : ''I know my stuff. I feel that you have to in this business. I can't rely on other people all of the time, so I have to know what works for me. I also don't like to wear heavy make-up - I prefer a softer, prettier look. When it comes to my hair I like to get help, though. I have a lot of it so I need a little help getting around the back.''

Bradley Cooper has described his Golden Globe nomination as ''surreal''.
The 37-year-old actor is up for Best Actor in the Musical or Comedy category for his role in 'Silver Linings Playbook' and he says he couldn't believe it when his name was read out, especially because it's not a big budget film.
He said: ''It's a small film and it's a word-of-mouth movie. The fact that it's getting this kind of attention [means] hopefully more people will go see it.
''We loved doing it. We care so much about the film and it's amazing to be recognised. And then on a personal level, it's just surreal... I grew up as the nerd who would wake up to watch the [Golden Globe] announcements. To hear [presenter and 'Hangover' co-star] Ed Helms say 'Silver Linings Playbook' was just incredible.''
Bradley is up against 'Bernie' star Jack Black, Hugh Jackman of 'Les Miserables', Ewan McGregor for 'Salmon Fishing in the Yemen' and Bill Murray from 'Hyde Park on Hudson'.
'Silver Linings Playbook' - which also stars Jennifer Lawrence - is also up for 'Best Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy)'.
The 70th annual Golden Globes take place in Los Angeles on January 13 2013.
