Veena Malik losing sleep over her packed schedule
Pakistani actress Veena Malik today said that she was losing sleep owing to her packed schedule that includes back-to-back Bollywood movies and her debut Punjabi film
'I don't get time to sleep as my tight schedule is keeping me really busy. My eating orders are out and I feel as if I am having a roller-coaster ride,' Malik said here. The actress, however, said that she feels lucky to have been showered with so much love and affection by the Indian people and the Bollywood.

'From the core of my heart, I want to thank everyone in India for giving me so much affection as an artist and giving an opportunity to me to excel...I owe a lot to this country,' she added. Malik will be featuring in her debut Punjabi film 'Jats in Golmaal', in which actor Arya Babbar plays the lead role. She said that she is doing six back-to-back films that also includes Bollywood films 'Zindagi 50-50' opposite Babbar, 'Super Model' opposite Ashmit Patel and a horror-thriller 'Mumbai 125 km', which will be in a 3-D format.

On reality shows, she said that she was bombarded with offers after her stint in 'Bigg Boss', but did not want to do such shows in bulk. Malik said that comparisons should not be drawn between Pakistani and the Indian film industry. 'In comparison to India, the Pakistani films don't even get that exposure in their own country,' she said. She, however, said that things were changing in her country as well, and hoped that in future Pakistani films will get good exposure at international platforms.

Malik also said that cricket runs in the blood of every Indian and Pakistani and it can play a key role to bring the two countries closer. 'I am a great cricket fan myself. People in both the countries are crazy about cricket and films and I believe that sports and arts can help foster better ties between the nations,' she said.

Abhay Deol to help Preeti resurrect her B-Town career
Abhay Deol to help girlfriend Preeti Desai put her non-existent Bollywood career back on track
Remember Abhay Deol’s girlfriend Preeti Desai who made her debut in Shor In The City last year? The model disappeared from the scene after the film released. The calendar girl who made a splash on the ramp in Mumbai, however, did not have any takers in B-Town. The only time that Preeti has been spotted, of late, is at film previews and at B-Town events as Abhay’s arm candy.

Abhay is now apparently extremely keen to resurrect Preeti’s Bollywood aspirations. To the extent that he is keen to star opposite her in an upcoming film. Earlier he made an attempt to include her in his zombie film Shaadi of the Dead the film that ran into several production issues and is now stuck. Navdeep Singh’s project however went on the floors with Genelia D’Souza as the leading actress. Still Abhay managed to have Preeti do a cameo. The film was a joint venture of Ekta Kapoor and Siddharth Jain. Later Ekta decided to pull out due to several issues about the production aspects after which the film is lying stuck.

Says a source, “After Shor in The City released, Abhay tried his best to ensure that Preeti was cast in the zombie flick. As he had worked with director Navdeep Singh earlier in Manorama Six Feet Under, he shared a rapport with him. However he could only make Preeti’s appearance restricted to a cameo. Ever since he had been keen to have her as his girl on the screen as well.” Adds the source, “Abhay is planning a project that will star him along with Preeti. It is in the early stages but things are moving on the front.”

A former Miss Great Britain, Preeti was the first woman of Indian origin to ever win the title. Ever since they had been spotted together at events, there has also been buzz that the two were living in at Juhu. Though Preeti had her pad at Malad, she would always be around at Abhay’s place. With Abhay fetching accolades for his B-Town outings like Chakravyuh and Shanghai this year, he is hopeful that a project with his girl will also happen.
